GAN welcomes the Legalization of Internet Sports Gambling in Tennessee

Game Account Network welcomes Tennessee Bill

Game Account Network or GAN plc for short have welcomed the legalization of internet sports gambling in the US State of Tennessee. In a press release issued this morning, GAN have applauded the move by the legislature of the State of Tennessee. Which from 1st July it is expected that online sports betting will be permitted in the state.

With the bill being passed on the 25th May, it moved onto the desk of the State’s Governor,  who has subsequently allowed the bill to become law without his signature.

With no physical casino presence within Tennessee, which has proven to be a stumbling block for other States in the US to pass internet gambling legislation. The bill passing will allow the State’s 6.8 million residents to gamble online.

GAN in their press release commenting on the passing of the legislation stated: “With an estimated population of 6.8 million the legalization of online sports wagering is expected to be material to GAN’s business, as the Company anticipates existing clients to extend their online GAN-supported operations into the State of Tennessee in 2019.”

From July 1st the date when Tennessee is expected to allow internet sports gambling, it is estimated that 16% of the total US population will be able to  legally place sports wagers online.
