New Hampshire welcomes Sports Betting

The US state of New Hampshire has become the latest state to open its doors to sports betting with DraftKings reaching agreement on a six year deal to offer a sportsbook to residents in the state.

DraftKings was chosen by New Hampshire state lottery officials after a competitive bidding process, which will see the company offer mobile wagering services to New Hampshire residents.

Speaking about the agreement reached which will see DraftKings provide sports betting services throughout the state, co-founder of Draft Kings, Matt Kalish, said: “As long as you’re within the state lines of New Hampshire, you can go on the app store, download the DraftKings sportsbook app and sign up for an account, and begin betting today.”

Governor of New Hampshire, Chris Sununu, was the first resident of New Hampshire to place a wager on Monday this week and it was Sununu, who back in July last year signed the bill, paving the way for regulated and legalized sports betting in the state.

Speaking about DraftKings going live with sports betting in New Hampshire, Sununu commented: “It’s an incredible time. The fact that New Hampshire is taking advantage of sports betting and is really the only group in the region to do it statewide.”

New Hampshire is the eighth state in the US that the company now offers sports betting in, this is in addition to the 43 states where the iGaming operator offers daily fantasy sports to.
