Revenue up in Pennsylvania

Yesterday we reported that gaming revenues for the state of New Jersey moved north for the month of October, well it looks like there is also good news in the state of Pennsylvania, with the state reporting an increase of 11%, compared to the same period in 2018.

Figures released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board shows total gaming and fantasy contests revenue generated  during October was 11% above revenue generated in October 2018.

With the total revenue generated across the state from land based casinos operating there amounting to just under $284m, which in turn generated a cool $116,439,514 to the states’ tax coffers.

The popularity of online casinos continues to grow, albeit slowly, with a gaming revenue of $4,942,934 generated from them. With the Rivers Casino Philadelphia, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course and the Parx Casino, contributing to this amount.

Sports betting in the state also continues to post healthy figures, with a state wide total of $241,186,066 for the month of October being reported by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
